Day Eight-Heading Home
Heading home to our “normal” lives…
It’s seems so strange to be leaving Belize.
We’ve been here just a single week.
All at once, it’s flown by AND dragged on.
The consensus amongst the missionary team seems to be that it feels as though it’s been at least a month or longer.
We’re all a bit homesick, but not wanting to leave this place. We want to do more. To have finished our projects. It doesn’t seem like enough when you look around at all the need.
It is time, though. We can only do so much and have families and other obligations waiting for us.
And so, we set our sights to next year’s trip, and to what we may do differently to accomplish new goals and help more people.
Sunrise this morning, over the very sailboat some of us went out on to snorkel yesterday.
